Latest News

Our mission is to provide the services, both technologically and educationally, that our customers need and want in order to adequately service their readers and their customers. We will provide these services with integrity, with diligence and with all due speed to help our customers and us grow together in our ability to meet the demands of our respective markets. While we maintain a sense of feeling for our customers and the problems they face, we will at the same time maintain the same feeling for our own employees who work very hard to fulfill our goals.

American Press, located in central Virginia, is a premier printer and distributor of special interest magazines and catalogs.

Our modern manufacturing facility is located near Charlottesville, Virginia, within 90 minutes of three major airports (and 30 minutes from Charlottesville’s jetport). This mid-Atlantic location places us squarely within the largest population corridor in the country, allowing accessible and efficient work-flow and distribution of printed material.

While visiting our plant, our customer service lounge and surrounding countryside (as well as beautiful Charlottesville) may make any visit not only productive, but comfortable and enjoyable as well.

USPS sees mail volume fall

The Postal Service has seen its mail volume fall 20% since 2006, and it’s expected to drop another 20 billion pieces in the next 10 years. First-class mail is expected to fall by 30 billion pieces, while modest growth is anticipated for advertising mail. The USPS plans to file a request for an advisory opinion on the five-day mail delivery proposal with the Postal Regulatory Commission today. “We need to act as quickly as possible—we cannot afford to wait,” Pulcrano said. “The sooner we can get some relief will have some significant impact as to where we end up in that 10-year plan.”
